「空間体感！動き出す浮世絵展 NAGOYA」は、3DCGアニメーションやプロジェクションマッピングを駆使した立体映像空間で浮世絵の世界に没入できるデジタルアートミュージアム企画として今回初めて開催するものです。
葛飾北斎、歌川国芳、歌川広重、喜多川歌麿、東洲斎写楽、歌川国貞など世界的な浮世絵師の作品300点以上のデジタルデータをもとに、大人から子どもまで楽しめるグラフィカルなデジタルアート作品を描く新しいスタイルの展覧会です。
江戸時代に庶民に広く親しまれ、時代を超えて今なお世界を魅了し続ける浮世絵の傑作の数々。それらの浮世絵を現代のアーティスト・クリエーターの感性でダイナミックに躍動させ、令和につながるポップアートとして、浮世絵に描かれた世界が楽しく生き生きとよみがえるような映像空間を目指しました。
また、浮世絵の本来の構図や色彩と対比させて鑑賞いただけるよう、江戸時代に摺られたオリジナルの浮世絵および復刻版の浮世絵や線画の展示、それらの解説もあわせて行います。
本展覧会をとおして、浮世絵の魅力を身近に感じていただければ幸いです。

舞台裏では、AIを活用して浮世絵のデジタルデータをより高精細にする手法、江戸時代の色彩を再現する手法、輪郭をなぞり線画にする手法、モーションセンサーによって浮世絵がインタラクティブに動く手法など、浮世絵の魅力を最大限に引き出すさまざまな技術を駆使して多彩なコンテンツを制作するとともに、40台以上のプロジェクターによって複雑な立体映像空間を作り上げています。
